Well the update is...I don't really have any updates. Blake is settled into school, Tucker is being Tucker and that's all I got. I finally felt well enough last weekend to go to my cousin's bridal shower. That was pretty much the first outing I've made, other than work, since July 4th weekend. Unfortunately the feeling better didn't last long, by the next day I was sick and tired again. Hopefully I'll break out of this cycle soon. I have too, fall is almost here. By far my most favorite time of year. Soon we'll be headed up to the apple orchard for the harvest festival and to pick apples and eat delicious apple cider donuts and drink warm fresh apple cider. mmmm. I could (and do) spend hours up there. We'll have to take Tucker on his first hayride too! Then before you know it, Halloween will be here. Blake wants to dress up as someone from Star Wars and Tucker will probably go as Cookie Monster. Since when are Halloween costumes $40?!?! I looked briefly at them at Target last week and was shocked. Ridiculous for something that will literally be worn for a couple of hours. I might get adventurous and try to conjure up homemade versions this year.
To get ready for the season I started putting away my summer candles and decorations and have begun bringing out the fall dishes and apple scented candles. Something about the scent of apples makes me so happy. I need to get Aaron to go up to the attic for me to bring down the rest of decorations so I can get my fall wreath and doormat out and don't forget about all the garland and pillows and knick knacks! I've started using my bath and body works country apple scented body wash and lotion and soon my philosophy caramel apple 3 in 1 will arrive. yum. |
